Deleting Path Points

The Pen tool can also be used to remove points from any path. The settings in the Tool Options bar can be used to change the Pen tool from the default path creation mode, to the Delete Points mode.

Remember to first select the path to edit using the Move or Path Selection tools.
After choosing the Delete Points mode, simply click on any anchor point in the selected path to delete that point.

Tip: Use the − keyboard shortcut to select the Pen tool with the Delete Points mode.

Alternatively, anchor points can be also removed from a path by selecting them with the Path Selection tool and pressing the Delete / Backspace key.
