Gradients

Gradients can be used to stylize the Fill of any object, even text. There are three types of gradients to choose from: Linear, Radial and Angle gradients.

Use the Gradient panel to customize any type of gradient or to apply a pre-made gradient from the Gradient palette. Alternatively, you can use the Fill pane or the Effects pane from the Appearance panel.

Additionally, you can adjust the position of your gradient using the Gradient tool.
